Céline Hoffmann, a researcher at the CNRS within the UTCBS (Unit of Chemical and Biological Technologies for Health) at the Faculty of Pharmacy of Université Paris Cité, successfully defended her Habilitation à Diriger des Recherches (HDR) on Thursday, May 7, 2026. This distinction crowns more than a decade of research focused on metabolic liver fibrosis and its cellular mechanisms.
His HDR centered on three major areas:
– the discovery of the association between hepatic stellate cell hypertrophy and hepatic fibrosis;
– the development of multipurpose nanovectors for targeted therapy;
– the study of the effect of natural products on hepatic metabolism.
His work, conducted in collaboration with national and international teams, has resulted in several major publications and secured funding (ANR, IDEX Université Paris Cité, etc.). It owes much to the dedication of his students, notably Houda Djerir, Marion Heckmann, and Imène Ayaden.
