Anna Schreiber, a PhD student at UTCBS, will participate in the Pint of Science festival. Held in several cities across France, this festival aims to open laboratories to the general public and make science accessible to everyone. She will present her thesis project:
“Colorectal cancer is one of the most common cancers, and the development of new treatments requires numerous tests, often conducted on mice. To reduce this reliance, we are developing a Minion chip—small, clever, (and a bit like Bob)—capable of reproducing key aspects of colorectal cancer in vitro. This chip allows us to grow tumor spheroids, which are small clusters of cells, offering a more ethical, rapid, and relevant model for testing new treatments.”
