The team main interest is on the design of nanomedicine, i.e. nanoparticles for targeted drug delivery or as specific imaging markers. The drug delivery axis covers formulations dedicated to local administration (mucoadhesive liquid/gel forms) and systemic (liposomes, multiple emulsions). The imaging axis aims to follow vectors by optical imaging in small animals, or to design specific probes such as microbubbles for ultrasound or nanoparticle MRI contrast agents. The strength of the team lies in the interdisciplinarity of the personnel which brings together organic chemistry, physicochemistry, pharmacotechnics, and biology (animal experimentation, imaging, tumor models), and their membership of Inserm, CNRS, university and hospital. The team has all the assets in hand to carry out cross-cutting research in the fields of nanomedicine.
